        Took a cheap led flashlight and replaced the bulbs with these. WOW! With just eight bulbs in the flashlight, it extended my camera\'s capability by at least twenty five yards. With just an hour of work I now have an IR light for a total of ten dollars that does the same job of fifty dollar IR lights. I will be building more of these in the future. Great deal!

        I have known Parts Express for a very long time and have procured many electronics items from them. All IR leds are good, but the resistors actually did not match the load of 12Vdc. So I had to reduce voltage to 5.0 dc and use 370 Ohms currect limiter resistor.

        I put all 100 onto a pcb and put it in a project box with a dimmer. Voila! Like an invisible sun, it lights up a room or area for a good 30ft or so. Great price and quality.

        Everything arrived as described. They are fairly bright but it would take a LOT of them to light up anything at night. They are good for the cost though and draw a very small current.
